BeatStars and Lemonaide launch AI ‘Collab Club’ for producers

In 2023 AI-music startup Lemonaide announced a ‘strategic alliance’ with beats marketplace BeatStars. Just over a year later, the companies have announced their latest collaboration. In fact, it’s called ‘Collab Club‘. It’s a collection of AI-music models trained – with full permission and licensing – on the work of top-tier producers including KXVI, Kato On The Track, Mantra and DJ Pain 1.

The idea is that producers lower down the industry pyramid can work with those models and what Lemonaide is calling the ‘distinctive musical signatures’ of its partner producers. The business model for this is subscription: people pay $9.99 per model per month, with 150 monthly credits to use generating music.

“All melodies are royalty free for online beat leasing and small (under 1 million stream) releases,” explained Lemonaide. “Once a release has reached over 1 million streams, the melody must be cleared and the royalties / publishing will be split fairly.”
